  My wife and son booked the Aug 22, 2017, historic gaslamp tour. Given helmets and assigned Segway "gliders?" they took two quick runs back and forth before setting off. A pleasant hour later, the group stopped near the tour office. Started up again. Wife's glider wouldn't slow down. She called out to guide, who said "stick your butt out." That didn't help, she couldn't stop and she hit a rock at ~12mph. While dazed sitting on the ground, the guide asks if she wants some water and brings some tissues for her bleeding. My son took her to Kaiser Permanente Zion: cuts and abrasions, concussion, 4 broken teeth, bilateral TMJ breaks, broken elbow. Guide's reply when my wife told her she did what she was told to do but it still wouldn't stop: "that happens sometimes." Request for SNTSD: inspect your equipment, actually review a safety video with your guests as franchise HQ says you do, get some basic training in first aid, actually check to see if your novice guests are operating machinery properly, and perhaps send a sympathy card to them while they take several weeks of unpaid leave from work to recover. Regards, Dave, who's wife is very much in pain and on an all liquid diet, as her jaw is wired shut.

  Hugh was a lot of fun and engaged with the group! For me, the tour was definitely less about sightseeing and more about how much fun segways are to ride! I would do this again and use this company!
